Photo Shoot Of Cass Imaging

Sandi and I switched it up a little this weekend and hopped on the other side of the camera for the first time in a while. Ray from KGM Expressions and my awesome partner at the Lightshop wanted to test out the new Sigma 35mm and I wanted to get some shots of Sandi and I for the Cass Imaging website. It was cool to be on the other side of the lens seeing what it feels like being photographed as a couple. We never had engagement photos done so we thought it would help us work better with our clients knowing exactly what their going through.

I let Ray run the show and even though it was freezing out we had a great time. Ray got to be a little more creative with his shots then usual and as you'll see he got some great ones. As far as us being photographed in an engagement shoot kind of setting, I caught myself doing the things that sometimes annoy me as the photographer, and realized that taking direction under pressure isn't always as easy as I tend to think it is. It was an awesome learning experience and Ray got some awesome shots for us to use on the website.

As far as the Sigma lens goes that Ray shot most of the shoot with...he's working on a follow up review to mine right now to post on the Lightshop. Ray has shot with the Nikon version for a long time now so I was curious to what his thoughts would be. For those interested...their a little different then mine, so stay tuned for that. Until then, here are a handful of the shots Ray got.
