ANNOUNCEMENT - Harbour Media is HERE!

HARBOUR MEDIA CO.

It's been almost 8 years since I walked away from my successful 6-figure career as a network engineer to become a full-time wedding/portrait photographer. It was a job that I had spent 15 years climbing my way up the corporate ladder only to be miserable the entire 8 hours that I was stuck in my cubical. Staring out the window at nothing but the ocean of cars that littered the parking lot.

When I made the decision that it was time to leave and take a leap of faith into the unknown world of being a small business owner in a highly competitive industry, I knew how much was riding on it. Since that day, I've never looked back and instead, only focused on the future and what was best for my family.

I'm extremely proud of what I've accomplished in these past 8 years of being a professional photographer. I've run soldout workshops, became an ambassador for a major camera company, worked on numerous projects with other large industry brands, and built a very successful multi-photographer studio. The fact that people know my name across the globe and follow my work is extremely humbling.

I was raised with the idea that you needed to work a 9-5 desk job to be successful so this lifestyle wasn't anything that I was familiar with while growing up. I remember feeling a sense of accomplishment from the moment I sat down and signed the papers to open my own LLC. It was both scary and an adrenaline rush at the same time, but ultimately, I knew this was the life that I wanted to pursue. I accomplished something I had only dreamed about growing up and together, Sandi and I built the studio into something so much bigger than we ever expected. Needless to say, I wouldn’t be here without the help of so many friends, family, and clients. No matter the contribution, each one of you has helped us do something we love as a career. Something we couldn't be more grateful for, especially, since we get to be home raising our son on our farm, creating our own schedules.

So, with all of that being said (along with a very dramatic announcement video), I'm starting a new biz venture. I've spent the past few years (since the start of the pandemic), working on this project and navigating my way through figuring out if this had the potential of becoming "the next chapter" in my quest for starting "something new".

Throughout the years of working as an ambassador to many industry-leading companies, I found there was a real need for marketing content. These companies were mostly relying on their ambassadors to provide this content since the alternative of paying a marketing agency was out of their budget. This is where the idea started and grew into the company that I announced last week.

Harbour Media Co.

Thank you so much to everyone who has had a hand in helping me with this new business venture. It's been a fun ride and I'm really looking forward to watching it grow.

To all my photography clients: Nothing is changing, I am still a storyteller at heart which is what makes this such an easy transition. I'll simply be adding to my list of clients and the services in which myself and my new team will be offering.

Please check out the new website which I'll be continuing to add to and improve on over the next couple of months as the workload increases.
